However Thom Hogan says in his 'How big can you print' article: Is this correct? Should I always choose one over the other for best quality printing? My understanding is if I choose Photo then it's 360dpi if I choose Photo RPM then its 720dpi. I've been reading that Epson printers print best at 360dpi or 720dpi. Print with preview, let PS manage colours, profile selected, then print, Epson box pops up, preferences, turn off colour management and choose paper and profile, make sure high speed etc are all off. Nikon D50, pp in Capture NX2, saved as tiff then over to Photoshop CS2 to print. Now seems a good chance to run over the setup: Prints are a really really good match with the screen all in (rubbish Dell laptop screen calibrated with a Spyder Express 2). Put into practice all the advice I'd been picking up on here and am most seriously pleased with the results. Just thought I'd give you all an update re my new purchase and take the opportunity to mine the wealth of sage advice on the forum.
